Pig Gets Arrested Sadly, this image more or less speaks for itself. I clipped it from the 8/13/00 Sunday edition of the Los Angeles Times, and yes, it shows a man in a pig costume being arrested by the LAPD. I should probably say that again, it shows a man in a pig costume being arrested by the LAPD. But why was he arrested? Well, according to the article, as a protest, he dumped horse manure, lots of it, outside the Wilshire Grand Hotel, which is(was) the Democratic National Committee's hotel headquarters. Why did he do this? To "dramatize" the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' political agenda. Because he did this as part of a political action, I think it's rather stupid. But, if he had dressed as a pig and dumped horse manure outside a hotel on his own, for no reason, then I would applaud the brilliance of the action. I believe in three tenets: 1. Chaos should not bring physical or mental harm to anyone. 2. Chaos should exist alone, separate from any agenda besides itself. 3. Spread Chaos |
